Description

Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano returned the young Rotta to Jabba on Tatooine. They rescued the ailing Huttlet, whom Asajj Ventress had abducted in 22 BBY and taken to Teth, and delivered him to Jabba despite Count Dooku's interference. The abduction was part of a Separatist plot in which the Hutt Ziro was involved: the plan was to blame the Jedi and so turn the Hutts against the Republic. Rotta was still very small then, having been born around 32 BBY.

In the New Republic Era the enormous, powerful Hutt Rotta fought in the arena on Shakari: he was working off a debt to Lord Janu and went from being Jabba's son to a crowd favorite. His father's death had left him the only heir of Jabba's crime empire, which turned his aunt and uncle, the Hutt Twins, against him. Rotta himself wanted to run his own life.

Around 14 ABY the Twins, through the New Republic, hired Din Djarin to bring them Rotta. The Mandalorian saved the Hutt from the death Janu had planned for him, yet would not hand him over to the Twins either. They then seized Rotta themselves; Din freed the captive, and in the palace on Nal Hutta Rotta fought the two Twins, who died afterward. Rotta then chose to stay on Adelphi and help the New Republic.
