Merrin

The Nightsister Merrin treated Cal Kestis, who was on Dathomir looking for a Zeffo Astrium, as an enemy and raised her dead sisters against him. Her coven had been wiped out in the Clone Wars by General Grievous's forces, yet Merrin blamed the Jedi for it: Taron Malicos, a former Jedi who had fled to Dathomir after Order 66, had talked her into believing so.

With her magick Merrin helped Cal defeat Malicos once she understood he had been lying, and she left with the Mantis crew to fight the Empire; on Nur it was she who pulled Cal and Cere out of the water. For a while she then parted from the crew to explore her powers and see the galaxy. Five years on, she and Cal met again on Jedha, where Merrin volunteered to guide him to the Hidden Path safehouse, and they grew close. Merrin helped Cal look for the way to Tanalorr, fought alongside him against Bode Akuna in the planet's temple, and with him she undertook to build a refuge there.
