Description
Fern claimed Wim's discovery for herself once she heard of it, and when the ship took off by accident she proclaimed herself captain and made the droid SM-33 obey her. The bold, stubborn daughter of Fara, one of At Attin's officials, raced a hoverbike with KB, was often caught by the school's safety droids, and hid her outings from her mother by overriding the household droid's memory.
On At Achrann Fern realized SM-33's memory of At Attin's coordinates had been blocked and lifted it with a memory override. In Rennod's lair Jod challenged her for the captaincy and forced her to yield. Back home she exposed the pirate to the planet's ruler and, at the decisive moment, persuaded her mother to destroy the Barrier, after which New Republic starfighters appeared over the city.
