Lanupa

SM-33, who had once served Tak Rennod, led the others to the pirate's lair on Lanupa, fuming that the captain's stronghold, with its acid baths for executions and its fighting pits, had been “ruined” by a resort. The At Attin children found Rennod's mark in the baths, and one of the guests helped them get down into a booby-trapped labyrinth leading to the vault. There SM-33 plugged into the captain's log: a map brought up the At Attin system, and in an old recording Rennod said that this planet's treasure was the last Old Republic Mint.

With children barred from the resort, the four from At Attin got in disguised as wise elders, and Jod Na Nawood slipped the manager some of Wim's antique coins. Jod was also recognized there by an old acquaintance, the bounty hunter Pokkit, who quietly tipped off Brutus. Once he had the coordinates in the vault, Jod invoked the Pirate's Code to take the captaincy from Fern and told SM-33 to arrest the children, but Wim set off a trapdoor and all four dropped out of sight. Brutus's pirates later captured Jod himself, together with SM-33, on Lanupa.
