Description
On Jedha Bode Akuna killed Eno Cordova, took the compass and fled: Tanalorr seemed to him a place where he could vanish with his daughter, Kata. Until then Cal Kestis had known him as a hired gun. In that role Bode won Cal's trust, fought at his side on Coruscant and Koboh and even gave him a blaster. Cal caught up with him at the temple on Tanalorr, and in the duel Bode, refusing to surrender, was killed.
At the ISB listening post where he lived with his daughter, Bode told Cal the truth about himself. ISB officer Lank Denvik, whom he secretly served, had known Bode since the Clone Wars, when the Council placed this Jedi Knight in Republic Intelligence. Bode became Denvik's undercover agent so that the Inquisitors would never reach Kata; they had already killed her mother, Tayala, with whom Bode had started a family while hiding after Order 66.
