The episodes A Way Forward, Friends and One Warrior to Another follow Asajj Ventress, voiced by Nika Futterman. Returned to life, Count Dooku's former apprentice hides from the Empire, but meets the young Jedi Lyco Strata and joins him in searching for the Hidden Path, an underground network that shelters Force users from persecution.
The other three episodes, The Good Life, A Good Turn and One Good Deed, tell the backstory of Cad Bane, voiced by Corey Burton. The street kid Colby grows up on Duro with his friend Niro, falls in with the gang of Lazlo, who becomes his mentor, and years later returns to his old neighborhood, where Niro has by then become a deputy marshal.
