Around 14 ABY, on the Outer Rim moon of Shakari, Din Djarin tracked down Jabba's son Rotta the Hutt, who was fighting in the arena as a gladiator for Lord Janu, a man bent on getting him killed. Once rescued, Rotta told Din that the name Janu concealed Commander Coin, whom the New Republic had been hunting, and the Mandalorian took the Imperial prisoner.

Description
Merchants on Shakari paid tribute to Lord Janu, head of the syndicate that controlled every moon in the system; one place it was collected was a bar beneath Korvin Station. Few suspected that Janu was really Coin, an Imperial commander in hiding. Salt is precious on this city moon: trying to buy Din off, Janu offered him a crystal of salt and called it a fortune.
Din Djarin, Grogu and Garazeb Orrelios searched Shakari for Rotta around 14 ABY, and Din questioned the street fry cook Hugo Durant about the Hutt. A bout in the gladiator arena ended with freed monsters turning on spectators and townspeople. Then Din and Orrelios stormed Coin's stormtrooper-guarded seaside estate and carried the commander off as a prisoner.
