Cere Junda

Having set out to revive the Jedi Order, Cere Junda hired the pilot Greez Dritus, and on Bracca she rescued Cal Kestis and took him as her student. Her choice to keep her bond with the Force suppressed came earlier, after she broke out of Imperial captivity by drawing on the dark side. The Empire had seized her after the purge of the Jedi; unable to withstand the torture, she gave away Trilla Suduri, the apprentice she had taken on after becoming a Knight, and the Empire made Trilla an Inquisitor.

When the holocron was lost on Bogano, Cere opened herself to the Force again and made Cal a Knight. Later, in an old monastery on Jedha, she set up a new Jedi archive and hid Hidden Path refugees there alongside Eno Cordova, the master she had once trained under and traveled with on expeditions. During the Imperial attack on that base Cere covered BD-1 as it escaped with the network's codes, and she fell to Darth Vader's lightsaber.
