Captain Rex

Rex, the clone designated CT-7567, led the 501st Legion's Torrent Company under Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano. A by-the-book soldier at first, he gradually adopted Skywalker's knack for improvisation. Rex fought on Christophsis, took part in breaking the blockade of Ryloth and in the second campaign on Geonosis, and the deaths of so many fellow clones made him question what the war was costing its soldiers.

Near the end of the war, by then a commander, Rex and Ahsoka led a clone unit to help the Mandalorian resistance against Maul. On the way back Order 66 arrived: his inhibitor chip forced Rex to fire on Ahsoka, but she managed to stun him and, with the help of droids, remove the chip. With his will restored, Rex fought his way out alongside her and escaped the crashing cruiser.

The Empire believed Rex was dead, which let him work in the shadows to help clones who stayed outside the Imperial ranks. Years later, living in the wilds with two other clone veterans, he met the crew of the Ghost, joined the rebels and fought in the liberation of Lothal, where one of those comrades, Gregor, died in his arms.
