Dagan Gera

In the observatory on Koboh, Cal Kestis beat Dagan Gera at his own game of illusion and appeared before him as Master Santari Khri. Long ago it was Khri who had cut off Dagan's arm and had him put in a bacta tank. Enraged, Dagan left himself open, and Cal, with Bode Akuna's support, killed him. It was the same Cal who in 9 BBY had let Dagan out of that tank, where he had spent two centuries.

The Bedlam Raiders, whom Dagan joined in a galaxy where neither the Republic nor the Jedi Order remained, were to become his army on Tanalorr and be turned against the Empire. The celebrated High Republic-era explorer had once found that world himself, hidden beyond the Koboh Abyss, a deadly nebula, and had asked the Council to let him train young Jedi there. But Nihil raiders seized the planet, and the Council, declining to retake it, told the Jedi to leave and to destroy the compasses for crossing the Abyss. In a rage Dagan killed several fellow Knights and went over to the dark side.
