Chopper

Chopper goes back as far as the Clone Wars, when he flew aboard a Y-wing fighter; after it went down on Ryloth, young Hera Syndulla dragged the droid out of the wreck. From then on he was on her side: he assisted her first outings even though her parents objected, and when she set off from home to fight as a rebel, he went too. Aboard the Ghost, Chopper had plenty to do: he fired the ship's guns, fixed equipment and, repainted in Imperial colours, slipped behind enemy lines.

Among the rebels the droid found no shortage of work. On Lothal he joined the cell's raids on Imperial cargo and the first missions with Ezra Bridger. More than once his part involved ships: during the rescue of Kanan Jarrus at Mustafar he took a stolen cruiser into hyperspace and returned with vessels from other cells that covered the retreat; on Malachor, aboard the shuttle Phantom, he helped capture an Inquisitor and collected the Jedi from the temple; and when Mon Mothma fled, he helped Hera get the Ghost to Dantooine.

On Mandalore Chopper wiped the data on the Duchess weapon from an Imperial Star Destroyer, and in the fight to free Lothal he helped seize the Dome's command centre and started the complex's engines so that it could take off. After the war the droid remained with Hera and kept an eye on her son Jacen. When Thrawn's followers were preparing for his return, Chopper and Hera traced the Eye of Sion ring to Seatos, and later he recognised Ezra Bridger straight away when Ezra came back.
