Description

Bodhi Rook was born and raised on Jedha, graduated from a flight academy and flew cargo shuttles for the Empire, including runs to the research facility where scientist Galen Erso worked. His conversations with Erso led him to defect: the scientist entrusted him with a recording about the battle station project and told him to find Saw Gerrera on Jedha. The Empire put a bounty on the runaway pilot.

Instead of help, captivity awaited him: Gerrera's Partisans seized him, and the suspicious Saw, taking the message for a trap, had him interrogated by a mind-reading creature that left Bodhi badly disoriented. Cassian Andor, Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus found him in the cells; when the station's test shot destroyed the Holy City, they brought Bodhi out and fled the moon together.

Bodhi joined the volunteer team bound for Scarif and flew a stolen Imperial shuttle through the planetary shield. While his comrades searched for the plans, he connected a comms cable to a landing pad console under fire and told Admiral Raddus that the shield gate had to be destroyed for the data to get through. Shortly afterward he was killed by a grenade thrown into the shuttle's cockpit.
